Cut-off Policy

Guidelines under the Emergency Utility Protection Act

Your account must be at least 46 days past due. This means, if you have a balance due from December (for example), your account will not be on a cut of list until February, according to state guidelines.

  • Cut offs will NOT occur if the forecasted temperatures are 32° and below or 92° and above.
  • Cut offs will NOT occur on a Friday, a weekend, a state holiday or the day before a state holiday.
  • Cut offs will NOT occur during a Governor declared state of emergency order.

You will receive a cut off notice at least ten days prior to the cut off date, informing you of the past due balance and when the cut of date will be.

You have until 5:00 PM on the business day prior to the cut off date to pay that balance or there will be a $35 administrative fee applied to your account and services will be disconnected on the said cut off date.
